Wall-E papercraft diorama by g3xter Wall-E papercraft diorama by g3xter
While assembling the Ford Focus RS WRC and the Frost dragon I had a little side project I worked on.

Wall-E is one of my all-time favorite movies and I thought I owed this little guy a tribute.

I printed a modified version of Julius Perdana's Wall-E papercraft pattern from Paper-Replika.com in a scale so small that it would fit inside a light bulb. Seeing that someone on only-paper.ru already realized that I idea I aimed for something bigger.

I decided to make diorama of the scene where Wall-E finds the plant in a fridge. The measurements of the diorama are 316 х 276mm and Wall-E himself is 2,4cm wide.

He weighs so little that none of my scales would recognize him as weight. The shoe weighs 2.2 grams and resulted in the movable joints having a hard time holding it up.

The diorama consists of multiple layers of fine sand, actual rusty items and objects painted with acrylic paint.

The thing I'm dissatisfied with most are his eyes. In retrospective I should've made holes in the sockets and give it a more lens-like look as I did with the canon papercraft, instead I simplified the model and glued them on. Oh well, live and learn, right?

I made a progress thread over at only-paper.ru if you're interested. only-paper.ru/forum/45-14783-1

Excuse the lazy shoop.
